The LSO’s Community and Youth choirs

The LSO’s Community and Discovery Choirs, which are taking part in The Monster in the Maze in London, have been a big part of the LSO since the opening of LSO St Luke’s, the Orchestra’s music education centre, in 2003. We asked the choirs’ directors, Lucy Griffiths and David Lawrence, and choir members about their involvement.

Working with amateur choirs: rehearsals in Aix

Choral Director Philippe Franceschi is heavily involved in the Monster in the Maze project, as coordinator of the youth choirs as well as the amateur adult choir for the performances in Aix-en-Provence. We caught up with him as he worked for the first time with the 200 young singers involved in the project .
